Home > About us

LDW was born in 2019, emanating from the hearts’ feeling of 15 young domestic workers. Their experience and witnessed marginalization, exploitations, sexual abuses and trafficking of children from rural to urban areas for domestic servitude fueled the establishment of Light for Domestic Workers Organization. The motive behind it was to take the leading role in collaboration with other actors at local and national level to raise community awareness and sensitize domestic workers on their rights and empower them to stand against abuse, exploitations and risks of HIV infections.
